What is a perpetual license?
A perpetual license means you own the software forever after a one-time purchase. There are no mandatory subscription fees. You can optionally purchase annual Updates & Maintenance to receive new features and updates.
Can I install SoundPLAN on multiple computers?
SoundPLANnoise includes unlimited installations on the same network. SoundPLANessential and SoundPLANmanda are single-workstation licenses. Contact us for network/floating license options.
What is included in Updates & Maintenance?
The optional Updates & Maintenance service includes all software updates, new features as released, and priority technical support. The first year is included free with your license purchase. Contact us for current pricing.
Do you offer rental/subscription options?
Yes, we offer cloud licensing for SoundPLANmanda starting from €550/year (Basic) or €750/year (Basic + Workplace). Contact us for details.
Do you offer academic or student discounts?
Yes! We offer special pricing for educational use including: Classroom Licenses (multi-seat packages for teaching), Research Licenses (for universities and research institutes), and Student Thesis Licenses (discounted licenses for students using SoundPLAN for their thesis or dissertation). What makes SoundPLAN different from competitors?

SoundPLANessential is a simpler, single-window application for smaller projects. You can start with Essential and upgrade to SoundPLANnoise at any time—the full amount paid for Essential is deducted from your upgrade cost.
What is SoundPLANmanda used for?
SoundPLANmanda is specifically designed for occupational noise mapping in workplaces. It helps EHS professionals create visual noise maps, assess worker exposure levels, and generate compliance reports following ISO 9612 methodology.
Can SoundPLANmanda do 3D modeling?
SoundPLANmanda focuses on 2D noise mapping with iso-lines (contour maps). It is designed for workplace assessments rather than environmental 3D modeling. For 3D capabilities, consider SoundPLANnoise or SoundPLANessential.
Which standards are supported?
SoundPLANnoise supports 50+ international standards including ISO 9613-2, CNOSSOS-EU, RLS-90, CRTN, Nord2000, and many more. SoundPLANmanda supports ISO 9612 occupational noise assessment methodology.
What are the system requirements?
SoundPLAN runs on Windows 10/11 (64-bit). Recommended: 16GB RAM, SSD storage, dedicated graphics card for 3D visualization. SoundPLANmanda has lower requirements suitable for standard office PCs.
Can I import data from other software?
Yes, SoundPLAN supports import from DXF/DWG (CAD), Shapefiles (GIS), ASCII, CSV, Excel, and various other formats. SoundPLANmanda specifically supports Excel/CSV import for measurement data.
Is training available?
Yes, we offer online and on-site training. Basic training is included with SoundPLANnoise purchases. We also provide custom training programs for teams.
What support is included?
All licenses include email support. Send support requests to support@soundplan.asia. Priority phone/video support is included with active Updates & Maintenance. We typically respond within 24 hours.
